What we collect and why

When you fill in the contact form on this website, we collect the information you enter yourself: name, company, email, phone, details about your event (date, time, address, number of guests, type of event, menu and branding wishes) and any message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.

To prevent spam and misuse of the form, the server also temporarily records your IP address together with the time of submission. This information is deleted automatically after a short time and is not used for anything else.

Legal basis

The processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (processing necessary to take steps prior to entering into a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in responding to and managing enquiries from businesses and individuals).

Retention

Information from the contact form is deleted no later than 12 months after your enquiry if no agreement is made. If an agreement is made, we keep accounting records for 5 years in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act.

Recipients and data processors

The website is hosted by Simply.com, which acts as our data processor for hosting and sending email. We do not transfer information to countries outside the EU/EEA, and we never pass on or sell your information to others.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify or erase the information we process about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Contact us at info@thecart.dk if you wish to exercise your rights.

You can lodge a complaint about our processing of your personal data with the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
